Bodybuilding.com - Know Your Measurements For Bodybuilding Success.

When planning a journey, the very first and most important thing to know is WHERE YOU ARE NOW! Before you head out to lose weight, or gain weight, or build muscle mass, or tone up; before you take the next step toward success, you need to know where you are now (rule #4). Or as an old saying goes, if you don't know where you are and you want to be somewhere else, then any direction you pick is adequate.

Any direction may not be good, but at least it's a step. You can read more of my about how I did that during 2011 while losing 157 pounds and going from a 60" waist to 36" in just 15 months.  See more stories about that at www.TrustMeOnTheSunscreen.com. I not only lost 157 pounds, I went from a size 60 waist to 36 inches. And since the first of the year my weight is down by  an additional 3 pounds and my wife likes the way I look in tight jeans that are even smaller - 2 more inches, size 34.  YOU CAN DO THAT! If you know how, DO IT! If you need some help, here is one place I regularly stop by to see how others do it and to record my measurements. The first link is a great article about what and how to measure your body.

(for a peek at my current body space, click here).
By the way, here's where you can get the same tool I use. About $10. Cheap!

Thanks for spending some time with me. Be sure to leave me any of your thoughts, or tell me where your blog/journal can be found! Okay, the legal stuff. Listen up.
I am not a doctor. I am not a certified trainer. I am not a professional body builder. I m in better shape and I do know a lot of stuff that those experts told me, but I don't have a paper that says so, and they haven't told me everything they know yet. Or as Uncle Buck said: "You should always consult a professional, like your doctor, before you begin any weight loss program, and you should ask an expert before you try some of the foods and exercise that Cheryl and Doc use." In other words, this blog contains my opinion on what might work and is for folks who are serious about changing their life. It should not be construed as anything more than what I found on my journey, and how I learned to use it. So you have now been warned: Do attempt the journey on your own without consulting a professional or gaining parental approval. And by the way, there is some other legal stuff on this page about who owns the trademarks and photos and copyright stuff. Most of what I have is not original, but the way I package it up IS, so be sure to read ALL of my rules. Here they are: All postings on my blogs are the opinions or thoughts by Floyd V. Give Up On Those Resolutions!

Give Up On Those Resolutions! That's the total of a blog post I saw over at MyFitnessPal.Com. Check it out.

Or as Granddad used to say, "do what you mean, and finish what you start!"
(PS: Read my friend's blog over at MyFitnessPal and come back later this week and I'll tell you why I posted it.)

Rule #320: You Can Achieve More Than You Think You Can

Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter
My goal was to lose 142 pounds and look like I did when daughter #2 was born 23 years ago.

GUESS WHAT! I went way beyond my wildest dreams. Two days ago I checked in at 209.4 pounds. In 16 months I am back to a weight that I have not known since high school. And I'm in better shape than when I started college. YOU CAN DO THE SAME. Set a realistic goal, yes, but set one that will make you work so that when you go past it, the rest of us will say WOW - we knew you could do that!

Oh, for all the rules, check the list at: Doc's Rules for Losing Weight (bookmark it).

Hello Basecamp, Great Idea. Should Work Out! ;-)

I’ve been using TweetCaster for Twitter. You should check it out. It’s the #1 mobile Twitter app. http://www.tweetcaster.com

Ok, I will fees up. Only used it once. But, it is important. The exec team, aka, The Triplets, said that I should get it from the Market Street and ask them why later.

Photo Burst On Key Biscayne with TLOHL

Take a burst of photos - that's a link to a Motorola mobile site for how to take some quick pictures with one of their phones, the Android Global (phone of the author). However, the rest of these were taken by Cheryl and me with a Canon T2i HD camera. We love our Canon cameras. We have three of them. Hope you enjoy our photos from our failed attempt to see Kendra take sail on a cruise.

Cheryl and I went to see Kendra off - she's up there somewhere.

We never really figured out if this was open, so we kept going.

Always road construction.

After Port of Miami we headed to Key Biscayne. Eventually.
